When Bryan came to Dream Makers, his dream wasn’t extravagant. He simply needed an iPad — a tool to help him complete his college homework and pursue his goal of becoming a software developer. Something that could make the uphill battle of doing life on his own just a little bit easier.

Bryan went on to say something that so many aged-out foster youth carry in their hearts:

“Being on your own is not easy. You feel like losing hope because sometimes all a child wants to hear is, ‘I love you.’ Sometimes all you need is a hug. Not being able to feel that way hurts. But what matters is what you do to change your story, change the outcome, and show how strong you are.”
